Worth the Fight

 To mother and father like you and me, I believe that you would agree if I say that our family is worth fighting for.

You know, I have seen so many men cheating on their wives without even feeling the guilt. I thought men should not be trusted... not until I met the one who stood up among the rest.

Later on, I realized that other women are also cheating on their partners with full confidence. So I concluded that cheating does not defend on gender but on character.

Moreover, I saw broken relationships and witness just how someone tried so hard to save what is left.

I saw that some relationships were fixed, others were just dumped.

Fortunately, God gave me a strong man to stand by my side believing that I am worth the fight. He is someone who values his children as unique gems to be treasured. I am quite blessed.

Because of him, I write songs. Because of me, he has words to sing.

It is a unique relationship because as we have four kids, we remain best of friends.

He went through a lot.

I went through a lot.

But together, we converted all those heartaches to inspiration.

Our family is worth the fight.

So I want to grab this opportunity as we celebrate 16 years of marriage to tell the world just how awesome he is as the father to our kids and husband to me.
